This Privacy Policy describes, honestly and in plain language, how WiggleRoute collects, uses, and protects your information.
We collect only what we need to make your trips calmer, and we never sell your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what WiggleRoute (operated by an individual doing business as WiggleRoute) ("WiggleRoute," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We collect the following types of information:
To plan your trip, WiggleRoute looks up places, hours, and route information from Google's Places and Routes services, subject to Google's own terms of service — our use of that data (including how long we may cache certain fields) is constrained by Google's terms, not just our own choices.
Some stop information (such as certain public restroom locations) comes from OpenStreetMap, a free, community-maintained map database. Where we display OpenStreetMap-sourced data, we credit it as required by OpenStreetMap's open data license (ODbL): "© OpenStreetMap contributors."
We use your information to:
We do not sell your personal data, to anyone, ever. We do not use advertising trackers or share your information with ad networks or data brokers. We share information only with the service providers who help us run WiggleRoute — specifically Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Google (place and route data), OpenStreetMap (open civic data), Stripe (payment processing), and our hosting/deployment provider — and only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update your profile in the app, or contact us to exercise these rights. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including relying on Supabase's authentication and database security for account data and Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure for payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly if an issue arises.
WiggleRoute is designed for parents and caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
