Please read these Terms carefully — they govern your use of WiggleRoute. Written for parents, not lawyers, but they're still a real agreement.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and WiggleRoute (operated by an individual doing business as WiggleRoute) ("WiggleRoute," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using WiggleRoute, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
WiggleRoute helps you plan calm, kid-friendly road-trip stops. We provide suggestions and information to support your planning, but you are responsible for your own travel decisions. Place details, hours, amenities, and routing come from third-party sources and may be inaccurate or out of date — always confirm important details before you rely on them.
You must provide accurate information when you register and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use WiggleRoute.
Some features require a paid purchase or subscription — including Premium subscriptions, the one-time $97 Founding Family purchase, and One More Trip single-Trip-Plan add-ons. Premium and Founding Family each include 8 Trip Plans each membership month. One Trip Plan includes its reciprocal return leg. Trip Packs are retired and are not offered for new purchases. Prices are shown at checkout. Any recurring subscription renews automatically until cancelled, and you authorize us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge your payment method on each renewal. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
Founding Family. The Founding Family purchase is a one-time payment that grants the purchasing account access to WiggleRoute's then-current Premium subscription tier — including its features and monthly trip allowance, each as modified from time to time — for as long as WiggleRoute or its successor commercially operates the Service ("Service Lifetime"). Founding Family access is not a promise that the Service will operate for any particular period, does not include unlimited trip generation, is limited to the same monthly trip allowance provided to Premium subscribers (currently eight (8) trips each membership month, which do not roll over), is personal to the purchasing account, and may not be sold, transferred, or exchanged for cash. If WiggleRoute permanently discontinues the Service, Founding Family access ends on the discontinuation date.
When using WiggleRoute, you agree not to:
WiggleRoute and its content, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
WiggleRoute relies on third-party services — including Google Places for place, hours, and amenity data; OpenStreetMap for certain civic/open data; Supabase for authentication and data storage; and Stripe for payment processing. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.
WiggleRoute is a directory service. Listings are compiled from publicly available information about businesses, parks, and points of interest — including facts like a place's name, address, hours, category, and features. We do not claim ownership of the underlying facts about any listed location, and factual information (addresses, hours, amenities, coordinates) is not something anyone can own.
All descriptive content in the app — the way we characterize a stop, the notes about what makes it worth visiting, the categorization — is written by WiggleRoute and represents our own editorial voice. We do not copy descriptions or photos from a business's own website.
Business owners, park managers, and public land representatives may request removal, correction, or updates to any listing at any time by emailing care@wiggleroute.com. We honor removal requests within 7 days of receiving them. We may also update or correct listings on our own when we find outdated information.
If we display a photo of a specific location that was provided directly by the business, park department, or land manager, that photo is used with their permission and credited on the stop's detail page. Photos sourced from public-domain or Creative Commons libraries are credited according to the license terms.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information provided is accurate or complete.
Restroom and amenity information is provided where available. WiggleRoute does not promise universal cleanliness ratings or inspection, visit, or certification of restrooms. Information is not a guarantee of current conditions. Conditions at any real-world location can change at any time.
Accessibility information (such as an accessible-restroom or wheelchair-accessible indicator) comes from structured data the location itself has provided to our mapping data source. WiggleRoute does not independently verify accessibility. Always confirm accessibility needs directly with the venue before you rely on them.
WiggleRoute does not screen, filter, or verify locations for allergens. We do not claim that any stop is "allergen-free," "gluten-free," "nut-free," or "safe for" any allergy or dietary restriction. If a note about allergen options is ever shown, it means only that the venue itself has reported allergen options — always confirm directly with restaurant staff before relying on it for any medical or dietary need.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WiggleRoute (operated by an individual doing business as WiggleRoute) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You may stop using WiggleRoute at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of WiggleRoute after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Illinois, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
